The Orchid Collection

A multi-year exploration into the world of natural perfection. This collection of over 100 master images uses a proprietary hyperrealistic technique to reveal the intricate, sculptural beauty of the world’s most coveted botanical subjects.

A Modern Orchidomania

The 19th century saw a period of “Orchidomania,” where Victorian collectors went to extraordinary lengths for the rarest specimens. This collection is the modern, artistic continuation of that historic, passionate pursuit of natural perfection, capturing the soul of these magnificent subjects for a new generation of patrons.

A Dialogue with the Masters:
Sargent & Saunders

Where the great master John Singer Sargent captured the sublime impression of a whole field, the modern master uses a hyperrealistic technique to reveal the sublime, hidden architecture within a single bloom. It is a dialogue between two centuries, two techniques, and one timeless subject.

A Multi-Year Dedication

This collection is the result of a multi-year obsession. As my brilliant assistant Mirka observed, the full story of an orchid is told in three parts: the entire sculptural plant, the full bloom, and an intimate bloom close-up. Following her insight, each of the over 100 master images in this collection was created with this same dedication to capturing the subject’s complete narrative.
