KGS Studios is first and foremost a premier hyperrealistic portrait and fine art studio. However, the infrastructure that powers our operations is anything but traditional. Led by Master Artist Kevin G. Saunders, the studio operates on a foundation built from 45 years of mastering both the physics of light and complex physical systems.
Before dedicating his career to fine art, Kevin was an aerospace industrial designer who built FAA-approved quality control systems and led specialized teams to certify life-saving aeronautical products. When KGS Studios was forced to pivot to a solopreneur model, that same zero-failure precision was applied to engineering the proprietary AI architecture that runs our business and powers StackProof.
Forged by Operational Necessity
The 2020 Pivot
When the 2020 pandemic forced physical studio closures and support staff to depart, KGS Studios had to evolve. Kevin, alongside his wife and operational partner Toni C. Saunders (BSN, RN), restructured the business into an agile, highly specialized solopreneur operation.
First-Principles AI
Operating a global-tier studio without a massive staff required extreme operational leverage. Approaching technology with a first-principles mindset—knowing that world-class knowledge is accessible to anyone willing to do the work—Kevin began integrating advanced LLMs into the studio’s workflow in 2023. By 2024, this effort had expanded to include building custom systems capable of running complex, multi-layered business operations autonomously.
The KGS Proprietary Vault
In early 2025, while refining these internal tools, KGS Studios uncovered critical properties regarding how Large Language Models manage context and state. By treating AI not as a simple chat interface but as a rigid architectural component, Kevin developed the KGS Business System: a localized, context-aware framework designed to require AI models to operate within strict, persistent parameters.
From this foundation, our suite of internal tools was born:

Our flagship verification engine. Born from the need to audit our own complex AI codebases, StackProof mathematically locks state and eliminates the unverified noise that plagues 95% of generative AI development.

The business system that revolutionized chatbot AIs has evolved into an improved chatbot AI Business OS and a KGS Business System Hermes edition, which is a fully configured system with a unified memory layer, available as a git download or fully configured on a DGX Spark box.
