The Luxury of Discretion & Curation

A masterwork is a private landmark, not a public advertisement.

At KGS Studios, we operate as a Private Atelier. Unlike high-volume studios that trade client privacy for digital “likes,” we prioritize the peace of mind of the families and individuals who trust us with their legacy.

Discretion-by-Default: Kevin G. Saunders has created thousands of portraits over many decades, yet our public gallery remains purposefully curated. We value anonymity as a core luxury requirement. We never share a subject’s name or likeness without explicit, grateful permission.

Portfolio Selection: When we share an image, it is because the subject has graciously chosen to allow their portrait to serve as an inspiration to others. We curate our public work based on two criteria: it must reflect our highest artistic standard, and it must tell a story of unfiltered character.

If you find few public reviews, it is because our clients prefer to remain our best-kept secret. We answer to the art and the subject, not the algorithm.

Private Atelier FAQs

Why are there so few public reviews or portraits on your website?

Unlike commodity photography, a Kevin G. Saunders masterwork is an intimate historical record comparable to a fine art painting in price, longevity, and artistic intent. Because these grand-scale portraits capture the most profound emotions of a family for future generations, they are designed to live in the sanctuary of private homes rather than the public feed. We prioritize the stewardship of these private family landmarks over digital social proof.

Does KGS Studios seek permission to share client likenesses?

Every commission begins with a formal Portrait Authorization protocol. We value the privacy of our patrons above all else; if a client requests discretion, we maintain a permanent written statement on file to protect their anonymity. We only share the few works that our clients have graciously permitted us to use as inspiration for others. Silence, in this case, is a trust signal; it is the signature of a private atelier.

While our standard Portrait Commission and Authorization grants the studio the right to use images for display and advertising, we prioritize the privacy of our patrons as a core luxury requirement. We maintain a permanent written statement for those who wish to remain anonymous. Every commission is a custom order, and while we do not offer refunds, all work is 100% guaranteed to meet your complete satisfaction. If it fails to meet our highest standards, we will make any necessary corrections or offer a new session plus an additional $1,000 in studio credit at no cost.
